When dealing with difficult times, it is common to feel as though God does not care or wonder why He has not helped us.
However, Scripture assures us that God deeply cares about both our emotional and physical pain.
Psalm 34:18 reminds us that “the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” This confirms that He is right there with you, aiming to deliver you from your pain.
We are also encouraged to be completely honest with God about our struggles. Hebrews 4:16 invites us to “with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” You do not need to worry about bothering Him or facing rejection; He is a loving parent who desires to help.
Furthermore, Philippians 4:6-7 instructs us not to be anxious about anything, but through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, to let our requests be made known to God. Supplication means making a humble, earnest (sincere) request and being vulnerable about the heavy emotional weight you carry.
In exchange for your worries and fears, God promises His peace, which surpasses (beyond) all human understanding. This peace will quiet your soul, calm your mind, and guard your heart against feelings of constant worry and dread.
Finally, when you feel you lack the strength to endure, remember 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. God told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul found that the tougher his hardships, the more active God’s grace and power were in his life.
You are not alone in your pain. If you invite God in through prayer and ask for His help, He will answer. He is not an absentee parent; He sees you, knows your struggles, and is with you every step of the way.
Jesus Himself is intimately familiar with suffering, having carried our pain and shame on the cross. When you feel like you might break under the weight of life’s responsibilities and in pain remember that God is right there, and He loves you.

It all starts with relationship with God to invite the Lord into your situation. If you want a relationship with the one who cares deeply about you say the prayer of salvation below:
Dear God, I come to You admitting that I am a sinner. I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died on the cross to take away my sin. I also believe He rose from the dead so I can be justified and made righteous through faith in Him. Jesus, I choose to follow You, and I ask that you fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for saving me! Amen.
