Dear Believer,

I wanted to share some thoughts regarding the discussion around divine healing, taking medication, and how God works through both.

While this message is not medical advice, it is an invitation to reflect on how God worked in Scripture. Throughout the Bible, Jesus used various methods to bring about healing—speaking a word, using mud, touching the hem of His garment, or healing from a distance.

In the Old Testament, God healed Marah's bitter waters by having Moses throw a log into the stream. God has never been limited to just one method of healing.

Exodus 15:26 ...“If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.”

In this scripture God gave the people instructions for how to live, prevent illness and reminded them that he is thier healer. In those times the medical advances we have today did not exist. The people depended on God for everything and was and still is faithful. While medical advances exist today, we still depend on God while using all the methods God has made available to us for healing.

Here are three key ways God can bring healing to our lives today:
1. Through Doctors and Medical Professionals: God provides doctors, nurses, and specialists with the knowledge, skill, and training needed to diagnose and treat illnesses.
2. Through Medicine: Many medications are derived from natural ingredients that God created. God gives researchers and medical professionals the insight to develop formulas that alleviate suffering and restore health.
3. Supernaturally: God can—and does—heal directly through prayer and divine intervention without any medical means.

Ultimately, we should be careful not to limit how, when, or through whom God chooses to bring healing. Whether He works through a physician, medication, or a direct miracle, the goal is restoration—and every form of healing ultimately brings glory to Him.

If you are praying for healing, consider remaining open to however God desires to work in your body and mind. Also pray for your doctors, medical professionals that God will give them the wisdom needed in treating your illness. Faith and medicine can be complementary and complete in achieving the answer to prayers. God is Lord over all, your health, your treatment team and your healing.

May you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers.

Grace and peace be unto you,
